• Sentence Journal: Please check this each night.  Your child will be writing a sentence each day (time permitting) regarding their day, upcoming events or reminders.  Please inital on the right page in the yellow box.

• Take-Home Folder: There will be notes and other information coming home daily. Please check over any information and encourage your child to try and keep it organized.

• Newsletter: This will be sent home at the end of each week.  The newsletter will include topics/standards we will learn throughout the week, what activities are coming up and other important or interesting things.​

​

• Take Home Books: Students can pick out a "good fit" book from the book cart at school. When the student has read the book a couple times (to build fluency and confidence) and is ready for a new one, they can go exchange the book for a new one and bring it home.  

 

• Math homework: Each week a math homework page will be sent home. These pages are due on Friday. The student will get 5 Dojo points.

 

• Reading Calendars: It is extremely important that your child reads at home to help them grow even more.  Therefore, each month I will send a reading calendar home to help motivate your child.  Please return these calendars at the beginning of each month so your child can receive a prize for reading during that month.  Most months your child could earn a FREE pizza from Pizza Hut as part of their Book-It program. Book- It runs from October 1st. through March 31st.
